The Story

I came up with the title My Mind On Us in February of 2024, seven months before I released my first album, Moments. I began writing it in October of that year and at the time, it came from a relationship. But it didn't stay there. What started as a story about heartbreak slowly became a story about a past I tried to erase, relationships I mistook for escape, and a mind that kept me awake. For most of my life, I wasn't someone who spoke about what I was going through, I didn't confront what I felt. I didn't name what hurt. I carried it. I convinced myself that silence was strength and that if I kept everything inside, I wouldn't become The Burden. So I learned how to smile through it, and keep moving like everything was fine, even when I wasn't. And for a long time… that was my story.
